About Romulo
Hi! My name is Romulo Tartaruga
Born in Salvador-Bahia, I like to cook, learn languages, play musical instruments, read, watch TV Series, practice archery, go hiking in nature and listen to rock of all kinds. I love to travel and get to know other cultures, so I will want to know a lot about yours!
My academic background includes a master of Arts degree from the Federal University of Bahia, a specialization in English language and a bachelor of Arts degree from Universidade Salvador. I am motivated to help people communicate in other languages and make their dreams of getting to know new cultures and worldviews come true.
With extensive experience in language teaching, my goal is to make you become fluent through an exciting and engaging learning journey!

Falando Português com Rômulo is a fully online course that has been carefully designed to welcome people who have the desire to learn the Portuguese language and, at the same time, immerse themselves in the diverse Brazilian culture.
Throughout the course, you will immerse yourself in a Brazil that goes beyond clichés, discovering the plurality of accents, expressions and stories that make up our country. From the captivating music and profound literature to the popular festivals and striking cuisine, here you will learn not only to speak Portuguese, but to understand the nuances and layers of a nation in constant transformation. Brazil is made up of extraordinary natural and cultural beauties, but also of complex social challenges, and we believe that teaching a language is only complete when we reflect on these realities.
Our method goes beyond traditional classes: immersion in Brazilian Portuguese will be an opportunity for you to question, reflect and engage with topics ranging from social inequality to advances and setbacks in democracy and race relations.
